Truss-Style & Roll-Out Docks by Walks-on-Water (Wow)
Docks don't come any nicer. Built in the heart of Minnesota lake country, where people take their leisure seriously, WoW truss docks are designed for easy installation, simple maintenance and a lifetime of attractive durability. Available with western red cedar or ThruFlow plastic decking, WoW's truss-style frames can be assembled as either a roll-in or sectional dock, configured in just about any way you can imagine, and are backed by one of the best warranties in the business. |
Lightweight
WoW docks are constructed of the highest quality, marine grade aluminum framing – to be lightweight, so you can move them; yet durable, so Mother Nature can’t. The aluminum frame for our 32’ roll-in package with an 8’X8’ patio end weighs just about 225 lbs and can easily be transported, installed, leveled and removed by one or two people. Need a longer dock? Just add more sections. Frames weigh-in at about 85 lbs for a 16’ section and 45 lbs for an 8’ section, and everything can be put on wheels to make installation and removal even easier. Height is easily adjustable by hand if you are in the water, or from the deck with a cable come-along or optional post-mounted winch kit. So invite the neighbours over for a barbeque – not to lift your dock in and out of the water. |
Durable
Trusses are strong. Remember high school geometry? Okay, neither do we. Trusses are strong because they are made of triangles, the simplest geometric figure that will not change shape when the lengths of the sides are fixed. Use of triangles means that truss structures can be built to span great lengths without the need for a lot of material. They’re used for bridges, towers, buildings, the roof of your house ... and WoW docks. WoW truss docks won’t bounce or bow. The truss framework is constructed of 12 inch deep aluminum side frames with a bolted-in cross frame every 4 feet. Welded side and cross frames bolt together for easy replacement in the event of accidental damage. The posts are equally heavy duty. They are made of schedule 40 galvanized steel pipe and are either 2” diameter to support heavy patio end or 1-1/2” diameter for intermediate support. Post brackets are zinc-plated steel with stainless steel bolts for set screws. Two set screws are used on wheel post brackets to support heavier loads. |

Configurable
WoW docks offer the ultimate in configurability. Straight truss sections are 4’ wide and come in 8’, 12' and 16’ lengths that can attached end-to-end, side-to-end, or side-to-side, either permanently with pre-drilled bolt connections, or with ‘Quick Connect’ hook-and-sleeve connectors. Diagonal sections, to give your dock more real estate and finish off inside corners, are also available. Just about any configurations is possible – patio ends, T shapes, L shapes, E shaped slips, even floating docks – so let your imagination be your guide. |
Gangplanks that tilt up (to navigate over rocks or retaining walls) or tilt down (to the meet the shoreline) come in 4’, 8’, or 12' lengths.
